Cartridge Filters

Glando Cartridge Filters are manufactured using wound or sintered filter cartridge of cellulose, ceramic, fiberglass, polypropylene nylon, bleached cotton, sinter metal cartridge which give filtration down to 0.45 micron. Pleated type filter elements made of fine wire mesh are also very popular now days Pleated Element are cleaned with suitable means and can be reused.

These types of filters have proved cost effective. Cartridge filters are suitable for fine filtration only and are generally used after some kind of coarse filter in the system. These filters are suitable for most liquid or gases and are available in simplex or duplex type construction.

The new cartridge filters, however, do not make use of screws as there are no vents. The filter is made of plastic outer layer with a cartridge fitted within it. There is no scope left for any leaks.

The only necessity is to clean the cartridge element whenever clogging takes place. The filament of this filtering medium has been enabled to deposit dirt particles, algae, microbes and minerals. So, all form of impurities is forced to decompose and deposit on the surface of cartridges. Cleaning of the impurity can be executed with flushing jets of water on the dirt-coagulated filament.
